When the last Kalender-sheets
Flattern trough the winter-streets
And Decemberwind is blowing
Then is everybody knowing
That it is not allzuweit:
Coming is the Weihnachtszeit.

All the Menschen, Kinder, people
Flippen out of ihr warm Stüb`l
Run to KAUFHOF, ALDI, MESS
Have consum and business.
Kaufen this and jenes Ding
-And the churchturmglocke rings!

All are now on hurry Trab,
Jagen KÖ hinauf und -ab,
Shadow-Street along and quer,
In the Old-Town hin und her.

And they carry in den Händen
Plastik-Tütchen with Präsenten.
The Buyer grinst, the seller lacht:
Who has business jemacht?
Everybody thinks: That`s fine
-Yes, this is the Weihnachtstime!

Viele kaufen sich a Tännchen.
When this brennt, they cry: ATTENTION
Rufen for the Feuerwehr:
Please come quick to Benrath her!
Goes the Tännchen auf in Rauch,
They are standing on the Schlauch!

In these days with stress and noise
Hears man oft des Heino`s voice.
Sings he zu deep, then ringsaround
The people go to underground.
But when he sings vielleicht to high,
The people gucken in the sky.

In the kitchen of the house
Mother makes the Christmas-Schmaus.

It is super, what she schafft!
She is working, schufting, bakes

Then he fills his last glas wine
-Yes this is the Weihnachtstime!

Day by day does so forjonn
And the Holy Night does come.
You can think, You can remember
-This is immer in December!

When the childrenlein are coming
Candle-Wachs is abwärts running,
Bing of Crosby Christman sings,
While the angels sing auch fine
-Weil this is the Weihnachtstime!

Baby-eyes are big and rund.
The family feels kerngesund
And unterm Baum is hocking
-Then nothing can them shocking!
They are so happy, are so rein
-That happens in the Christmastime!

The animals all in the house,
The Hund, the Katz`, the bird, the mouse,
are turning round the Weihnachtstree
Enjoy this day wie never nie,
Weil they found Kittykat and Schappi
Im großen Schenk-Karton von Papi.

The family begins to sing!
Und wieder does a Glöckchen ring.

The Tränen runnen down and down
-Bis mother plötzlich not more flennt:
The Weihnachtsgans im Ofen brennt!
Her little nose was very fine
-A Panne in the Weihnachtstime!

When she has the Gans gelöscht
She comes back zum Baum geprescht,
And the family goes on
With Vers zwei vom Christmas-Song!

Whe the Weihnachtstime is gone
Is the Jahres-changing dran.
Comes dann quickly the Silvester,
Speaks the Kanzler, our Bester
-And we feel in our soul
-New Year will be wundervoll!
