So what is Rapax?

Perhaps you were a little bit confused when you read the word Rapax for the first time. Otherwise you're good in Latin, where the roots of this word are. RAPAX means rapacious or greedy. But we don't want to get your money; rather RAPAX nowadays has strengthened our friendship.

It all started in summer of 1995 when 30 pupils formed a "class" 7 at the school called "Gymnasium Edertalschule" located in Frankenberg, Germany. We've all decided to learn the Latin language. One of these pupils called M. Ritter was known for his calmness, but also was able to show his strength, so that he was respected by the others. One day - it must have been in 1998 - we heared the Latin word RAPAX for the first time. From now on this boy was called RITTER RAPAX ("Ritter" is german for "knight"; altogether: knight of prey). Because of his glasses a few of his friends got the idea of an adhesive paste which was not for use with artificial teeth, but for pasting at the back of the ears. So users of spectacles don't have to worry about loosing them any more. Nice thing!

Back to reality: "Rapax adhesive paste" is just a fictive product, so it doesn't exist really. The RAPAX GMBH is a federation of friendship rather than a commercial company. Every "member" of this federation had (and still has) got sort of computer, or at least was able to access to one. Since April 1998 the RAPAX federation (consisting of RAPAX, Marc N. and me) tries to enlighten our everyday life with colorful printed images and pictures. These pictures show fictive advertisement with a joke (e.g. »RAPAX Sport makes you keep fit and slim«, »Kellogs Core-Flakes - make you have a radiant smile«, oder: »Lord Rapax cReAM-Spinach - the only one with green boards and microchips«). We were also going to release a computer game, but we really don't have no time for that at the moment.
